Hence, our manufacturing units follow the international Eco-Friendly measures set by GRS. We take the garment waste from apparel companies and polyster made by recycling the PET bottles to manufacture our premium quality yarn. This way, we contribute our bit towards sustainability in the textile and fashion industry. Moreover, it also helps reduce the total yarn cost, which works in favour of every buyer!
Circularity Process
Oasis always emphasizes manufacturing premium quality recycled yarn by using PET bottle waste and waste clippings from garment manufacturers. Through our Circularity Program, we invite leading garment manufacturers from around the globe to help us close the loop by enabling us to use your fabric waste and recycle it back into quality yarns. This way, we can eliminate the waste from accumulating in landfills. In turn, this waste can help produce garments which can be accepted again
by fashion brands. This approach makes us more environment conscious and will promote transparency in the supply chain as everything from the raw material to the final clothing article will be traceable.
Waste Recycling
Another significant move supported by Oasis Textiles is using the pet bottle plastic waste to produce yarn! Compared to using new plastics, using recycled materials and turning pet bottles into yarn can cause a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Furthermore, valuable raw material resources such as oil get preserved, and the total amount of waste at dumps also gets reduced.
The fabric made of PET fibre is basically polypropylene. Factually, it is ten times stronger than a regular polyester fabric. But to weave or knit yarn made out of PET bottles needs heavy machines, and these days almost every yarn manufacturer in India is stepping into this. The primary objective of this practice is to make yarn and fabric from plastic bottles.
